Cassandra Ziesk, RN, BSN
Cassandra Ziesk is a dedicated Registered Nurse with four years of experience specializing in ambulatory and primary care settings. Her nursing journey began at the College of DuPage, where she completed the first year of the ADN ladder program and earned her LPN in 2020. Following a move to California with her military spouse, she earned an Associate's degree in Biology from National University and gained valuable experience working as a mental health worker in a clinical setting.
Upon returning to Illinois to be closer to family support, Cassandra began working at Northwestern Healthcare with her LPN license, where she honed her skills in patient care and care coordination. In 2023, she pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Chamberlain University in Addison, graduating in December 2024. Her academic achievements, combined with her hands-on experience, have allowed her to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in fast-paced clinical environments.
Currently, Cassandra works in primary care offices, where she is recognized for her advocacy on behalf of patients. She goes above and beyond to assist with insurance authorizations, pharmacy coordination, and ensuring that patients receive the care and medications they need. Her commitment to patient outcomes is evident in the meticulous attention she gives to each individual, making certain that every patient feels supported and heard throughout their healthcare journey.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cassandra balances her nursing career with family life as a mother to a four-year-old son. She is a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and views nursing as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients while serving as a role model for her son. Looking ahead, she plans to transition into hospital-based nursing, continuing her dedication to providing exceptional care and contributing to the healthcare field.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is the patient care aspect. I take pride in going above and beyond to ensure my patients get what they need. Whether it’s navigating insurance prior authorizations or coordinating with multiple pharmacies to ensure timely access to medications, I want every patient to feel that someone truly advocated for them. I’ve always been a caring and attentive person—willing to be a listening ear and support patients to the best of my ability. Nurses are, in my view, the superheroes of the healthcare world, and I’m passionate about making sure my patients feel cared for and supported.
