Carunda Porter, CNA is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience across diverse clinical and administrative roles. Beginning her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and patient care technician, she developed a strong foundation in direct patient care, assisting individuals with daily living activities and supporting terminally ill patients with compassion and empathy. Her early hands-on experience instilled in her a deep understanding of patient needs and the importance of delivering quality care at every level.

Over the years, Carunda has advanced into healthcare administration, taking on roles such as secretary and clinical care associate, where she honed skills in patient scheduling, insurance verification, staff coordination, and medical documentation. Currently, she serves as an Oncology Surgery Scheduler Specialist at University Gynecologic Oncology, where she collaborates closely with physicians to schedule surgeries, obtain insurance authorizations, and ensure accurate procedural coding. Her expertise in surgery scheduling, pre-certification, and patient coordination has made her a valued member of the healthcare teams she supports.

Committed to lifelong learning, Carunda is completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration at Strayer University, building on her associate degree in business. She brings to her work a unique combination of clinical experience, administrative expertise, and a strong focus on harmony, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
