Carrie Miller, MSN, RN, NP-C

Carrie Miller, MSN, RN, NP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner and pain management specialist with over 20 years of experience in critical care and pain management. She earned her RN, BSN, and Master’s degrees from the University of Maryland Graduate School of Nursing, completing rotations in trauma and critical care at both the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University. Carrie’s early clinical experiences in acute care and head and neck trauma laid the foundation for her expertise in managing complex patient needs and guiding multidisciplinary teams.

In 2022, Carrie founded VIP Pain Services, where she serves as Founder and Chief Clinical and Operations Officer. Under her leadership, the practice delivers comprehensive pain management across multiple hospital campuses, long-term acute care, and post-acute settings in Jacksonville, Florida, and has expanded nationally to Arizona, New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia. VIP Pain Services emphasizes multimodal, patient-centered therapies that integrate acute and post-acute care, ensuring seamless transitions, continuity of care, and improved outcomes for patients with chronic pain, post-operative pain, trauma, and cancer-related pain.

Carrie has a proven track record in healthcare innovation and program development. Prior to founding VIP Pain Services, she developed acute inpatient pain management programs at Ascension hospitals and led interventional pain management services at Total Pain Relief, LLC. She also founded CK Healthcare Consulting, LLC, providing program development and navigator services for patients and families dealing with complex healthcare needs, including cancer care. Throughout her career, Carrie has actively advocated for patient empowerment, streamlined care coordination, and evidence-based approaches that prioritize both quality of life and functional recovery.

A recognized healthcare leader and entrepreneur, Carrie combines clinical expertise with operational acumen to address systemic challenges in pain management. She is vocal about the importance of clinician-led care models, transparency in end-of-life care, and aligning healthcare systems with patient goals. Her thought leadership extends to education, mentorship, and policy advocacy, helping other providers adopt patient-centered, precision-based approaches that treat not just symptoms but the underlying nervous system mechanisms of pain.

Outside of her clinical and leadership roles, Carrie is deeply committed to advancing the field of pain management through education, collaboration, and innovation. She continues to grow VIP Pain Services while maintaining hands-on patient care, believing that compassionate, coordinated, and precise pain management can transform lives.
