Carol Scott

Carol has dedicated over 50 years to the nursing profession, building a career marked by clinical expertise, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care. She began her journey after completing her nursing diploma at Bronson Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, and quickly gained experience in pediatric surgery, critical care, and hospital-based clinical roles. Early in her career, she also contributed to clinical research, working with investigational medicines and complex studies, which honed her ability to learn quickly, adapt, and maintain the highest standards of patient safety.

Throughout her career, Carol sought out opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills, pursuing additional certifications in clinical pharmacology, catheter insertion, and advanced IV therapy techniques. She worked across multiple states, including New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, and Michigan, and spent decades at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Her experience spans pediatric care, home health care for patients with complex needs, and clinical research, where she was trusted to safely administer investigational treatments and mentor colleagues in best practices.

Even in retirement, Carol’s dedication to helping others remains strong. She has volunteered at her local senior center, serving as a receptionist and providing valuable guidance to the community. Her lifelong curiosity, desire to learn, and commitment to patient well-being define her legacy in nursing—a legacy built on resilience, adaptability, and an enduring passion for caring for others.
