Carly Kissinger, DNP, CRNA

Dr. Carly Kissinger, DNP, CRNA is a skilled nurse anesthetist with ten years of clinical experience spanning high-acuity critical care and surgical environments. She began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University in 2015, where she excelled academically and served as captain of the Division I field hockey team.

Dr. Kissinger currently practices at Corpus Christi Medical Center, providing anesthesia services at both the Level II trauma hospital and the outpatient surgery center. She thrives in settings that demand precision, rapid decision-making, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety.

Before advancing into anesthesia, Dr. Kissinger built a strong foundation in the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant ICU at Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center. There, she cared for some of the most complex cardiac patients, including individuals requiring devices such as LVADs, Impellas, intra-aortic balloon pumps, ECMO, and heart or lung transplants. Her experience in this high-intensity environment sharpened her expertise in hemodynamics, critical interventions, and advanced life support technologies.

Motivated by her passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Kissinger went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia at the University of Texas at Houston. Drawn to the profound responsibility of caring for patients during their most vulnerable moments, she chose anesthesia as a specialty that perfectly combines clinical mastery with deep compassion.
