Burhan Shakil is an aspiring anesthesiologist and undergraduate student at Queens College, where he is pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in Health Sciences. His academic journey reflects a deep interest in understanding both the mental and physiological aspects of patient care. Through his coursework and practical experience, Burhan is developing a strong foundation in behavioral science, healthcare systems, and human biology—skills that are critical to his long-term goal of becoming a compassionate and skilled medical professional.

In addition to his studies, Burhan has gained hands-on clinical experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Grand Healthcare System and as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy. In these roles, he assists patients with daily living activities, monitors vital signs, supports nurses in implementing care plans, and ensures accurate and compliant prescription management.
