Their clinical experience spans a variety of treatment settings, including inpatient and residential programs, outpatient therapy, crisis stabilization units, and group therapy environments. Through this diverse background, Brooklyn has developed a strong ability to support clients in both acute and long-term care settings. They have worked extensively with individuals experiencing eating disorders, trauma-related concerns, crisis situations, and identity-related stressors, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ affirming care and individualized treatment planning. In addition to their current role at Aster Springs Ohio, Brooklyn has previously worked in crisis stabilization services and community mental health settings, where they supported individuals experiencing high levels of emotional distress and psychiatric crises. These experiences strengthened their clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to remain grounded in high-intensity therapeutic environments while maintaining a compassionate and client-focused presence. Brooklyn is deeply passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful insight, healing, and long-term recovery. They value those moments in therapy when clients experience clarity and breakthrough in their personal journeys. Outside of clinical work, Brooklyn remains engaged in professional growth and the broader counseling community, with interests in advocacy, continued learning, and potential future contributions to the field through research or publication.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing in this field is the moment when a “light bulb” clicks on for a client. There is something deeply meaningful about witnessing someone reach that point of clarity—when things begin to make sense and new insight emerges. These breakthrough moments continually reaffirm my commitment to this work and are a reminder of why I chose this profession. If I had to begin my career again, I would choose this path without hesitation.
