What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I love most about radiation therapy is the opportunity to get to know my patients while individualizing their treatment. Because we see patients for up to 44 consecutive days, I have the chance to understand them personally, which allows me to tailor their care more effectively. This longitudinal connection is what drew me to the field—rather than seeing patients just once and following up weeks later, I can truly support them throughout their journey. Understanding patients on a personal level helps me provide care that is both compassionate and precise, whether it’s adjusting their treatment plan or simply being there for them during challenging moments.
