In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Braxton is an entrepreneur and educator who continues to contribute to the advancement of medicine and community health.

Dr. Braxton began his medical career after earning his Doctor of Medicine from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1994. Shortly afterward, he served for six years in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon at Robins Air Force Base, where he was recognized as the Air Force Materiel Command Flight Surgeon of the Year in 1998. Following his military service, he completed a family practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where he served as chief resident, and later completed an emergency medicine fellowship and residency, becoming chief resident during his emergency medicine training at West Virginia University Hospitals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Braxton has practiced emergency medicine in several states, including Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Ohio. He has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as Facility Medical Director at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he worked with Team Health’s flagship hospital. In 2016, he relocated to Ohio and joined Qualified Emergency Specialists, Inc. in Cincinnati, where he continues to practice emergency medicine while maintaining a reduced clinical schedule.

In 2025, Dr. Braxton expanded his professional focus by launching two innovative medical ventures. He founded A1 TeleMed, a nationwide telemedicine practice that provides urgent care, bridge-to-care services for patients without primary care physicians, and weight-loss solutions. That same year, he also launched A1 Renew, an advanced medical aesthetics and wellness clinic in the Cincinnati area offering comprehensive treatments such as laser therapy, radiofrequency procedures, microneedling, dermal fillers, Botox, joint injections for arthritis, pain management, and IV therapy.

Beyond his medical and entrepreneurial work, Dr. Braxton is committed to education and service. He serves as adjunct faculty and a clinical preceptor for the Physician Assistant program at Cedarville University. He also holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University and is a certified biblical counselor with specialization in addiction counseling through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.
