Ashley R. Yantz, RN
Ashley Yantz is a dedicated Registered Nurse and a TB Registered Nurse Case Manager with the Brazos County Health District in Texas. She is passionate about improving public health outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations impacted by infectious diseases. With specialized experience in tuberculosis case management and a strong foundation in emergency medicine, Ashley is committed to delivering timely intervention, education, and comprehensive support to patients throughout their care journey.
Ashley’s nursing career began in direct patient care, serving as a Licensed Vocational Nurse floating between the Brenham and Hempstead Baylor Scott & White Clinics. She later joined CHI St. Joseph Health System as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, where she gained hands-on experience in high-pressure environments that strengthened her clinical judgment, resilience, and ability to respond quickly to emergent needs.
Before entering the nursing field, Ashley worked as the only office assistant in a private provider clinic.
Driven by empathy and a commitment to community wellness, Ashley continues to grow her expertise as she supports individuals and families through some of their most challenging health experiences. She remains deeply motivated to help reduce the spread of communicable diseases and ensure that every patient feels supported, informed, and seen.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
The thing that I enjoy the most about practicing medicine is my ability to make a positive impact in someone's life. Whether that involves just taking extra time to listen, direct patient care, or providing additional information/education. Just knowing that I can make a difference, that I can truly help someone, is the most rewarding feeling.
