Ashley Walters, DNP, PMHNP-BC, currently practices at Mindfully Therapy & Psychiatry, where she provides comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management to patients across the lifespan. With a strong foundation in clinical nursing, Ashley began her career as a Registered Nurse at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she developed extensive experience in patient care and learned the importance of empathy, attention to detail, and individualized treatment. Her passion for supporting mental health and improving patients’ quality of life has been the guiding force throughout her career.

Ashley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, completing her advanced training in December 2023. She is board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), which allows her to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices, personalized care planning, and a holistic understanding of each patient’s unique needs, ensuring that care is both effective and compassionate.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to help people improve their health and overall well-being. Being able to support patients through their challenges, guide them toward recovery, and witness their progress is deeply rewarding. I find great fulfillment in building trusting relationships, listening carefully to each individual’s concerns, and collaborating to develop personalized care plans that make a meaningful difference in their lives.
