Ashley Jensen, DNP, FNP-C, CNE, CEN

Ashley Jensen is a dedicated nursing professional and current Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at East Carolina University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her passion for patient care began early, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Over the years, Ashley has gained extensive clinical experience, particularly in emergency care, having worked as a Travel Registered Nurse at institutions including ECU Health (Vidant Medical Center), UNC Health Nash, WakeMed Raleigh, and American Mobile Healthcare. She holds the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential, reflecting her expertise and commitment to excellence in high-pressure clinical environments.

In addition to her clinical work, Ashley is deeply committed to nursing education. She serves as a Nurse Clinical Faculty Educator at Pitt Community College and has contributed to interdisciplinary education initiatives at ECU Brody School of Medicine. She is also completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education at East Carolina University, equipping her to train and mentor the next generation of nurses. Beyond the classroom, Ashley has coordinated programs and facilitated initiatives for the Pitts County Health Department, demonstrating her dedication to community health and public service.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ashley combines her clinical knowledge, educational expertise, and bilingual skills to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive care.
