Arlene Blankenship

Arlene Blankenship, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a highly experienced and compassionate APRN, Nocturnist/Hospitalist at Pioneer Medical Group in Tampa, Florida. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care, guided by her belief that there is always an opportunity to “do more” for her patients. Arlene’s approach emphasizes safety, comfort, and dignity, ensuring that every patient feels supported and treated with the same care and respect she would give her own family. Her clinical focus spans complex inpatient cases, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based treatment, with a commitment to excellence during both day and night hospital shifts. Arlene’s career in healthcare is distinguished by breadth and depth of experience. She began in emergency medical services training with Spring Hill Fire Rescue, serving as an EMT-Paramedic, flight Paramedic, and flight Nurse, gaining invaluable expertise in high-acuity, fast-paced medical care. Transitioning to nursing, she earned her ASN, BSN, and MSN at Keiser University, followed by a post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner degree, laying the foundation for her advanced practice career. During her tenure at AdventHealth North Pinellas, she served as Team Lead and Charge Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit, demonstrating leadership, clinical judgment, and a dedication to patient outcomes, before joining Pioneer Medical Group to further advance inpatient care practices. Originally from New England, Arlene relocated to Tarpon Springs, Florida, in 1999, where she lives with her husband and four daughters. Outside of her professional work, she is deeply committed to animal welfare and operates a private horse rescue, providing care and rehabilitation to horses and other animals in need. Her dual passions for healthcare and animal rescue reflect a lifelong dedication to service, compassion, and improving the lives of both people and animals. Arlene’s career embodies a rare combination of clinical expertise, leadership, and heartfelt commitment to the well-being of her patients and community.
