Dr. Ariel Rendt Padron is an Instructor of Psychology at Colorado Mesa University and an accomplished clinical social worker with a strong focus on mental health service provision, education, and trauma-informed care. With a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s degree from the University of Denver, Ariel brings both academic rigor and practical experience to her work in higher education and clinical practice.

Over the past decade, Ariel has served in diverse roles ranging from therapist and clinical supervisor to Director of Practice Education. Her professional passion lies in supporting individuals with complex trauma, serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), and those navigating systemic barriers. She is equally dedicated to training and mentoring the next generation of master’s-level social workers, instilling in them the values of ethical practice, empathy, and critical thinking.

Ariel’s research interests include neurodiversity among mental health providers and risk management in clinical settings. She currently serves on the NASW Colorado Board of Directors and remains active in both academic and community-based initiatives. Whether in the classroom or in a therapeutic setting, Ariel is committed to serving those who are often overlooked and helping to build a more inclusive, responsive, and compassionate system of care.
