Anne Walker Kimes, PMHNP-BC
Anne Walker Kimes, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Forest, Mississippi. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in 2018. After completing her nursing degree, Walker gained five years of clinical experience in the Emergency Departments at Merit Health River Oaks and Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She then returned to UMMC to earn her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
Growing up in the Mississippi Delta profoundly shaped Walker’s passion for mental health care. She remains committed to serving rural communities and addressing the unique mental health challenges faced by underserved populations. Walker is deeply invested in reducing the stigma around mental illness and promoting holistic, compassionate care for her patients.
In her current role at the Community Health Clinic, Walker utilizes a collaborative, patient-centered approach. She focuses on diagnostic management and therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring that care is both effective and personalized. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of psychiatric conditions, and she works closely with patients to develop treatment plans that support long-term wellness.
Walker continues to expand her professional impact through education, advocacy, and patient-centered care. She is currently accepting new patients and participates in a variety of insurance plans, making her services accessible to those in need. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is supporting patients as they navigate and overcome trauma. Being able to guide them through challenging experiences and witness their resilience and growth is deeply rewarding and motivates me every day.
