Dr. Anne Adrian, PhD, LCPC, PEL-SC, ACS
Dr. Anne Adrian, PhD, LCPC, PEL-SC, ACS, is a Clinical Director and experienced mental health professional with a strong background in clinical leadership, counseling practice, and counselor education. She established her private practice in 2012 after entering the counseling field in 2010, a path influenced by her personal experience with anxiety during childhood. Dr. Adrian describes her therapeutic approach as viewing counseling like a large, intricate puzzle where her role is to carefully identify and assemble the pieces of each client’s experience to support insight, healing, and meaningful progress.
In her clinical work, Dr. Adrian provides therapy for non-severe mental health concerns across the lifespan, working with individuals from early childhood through older adulthood (ages 3 to 90). Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and relationship or couples concerns, with particular expertise in treating children and adolescents experiencing anxiety disorders. She frequently utilizes evidence-based approaches, including exposure therapy, to help young clients build coping skills and reduce anxiety symptoms. She also offers both in-person and virtual sessions to ensure accessible, flexible care for her clients.
Beyond her private practice, Dr. Adrian serves as a professor at Walden University and contributes to the field through leadership roles on multiple state and national counseling association boards. She is deeply committed to advancing the counseling profession through education, supervision, and training, regularly presenting on topics such as counselor development, childhood anxiety treatment, and the establishment and growth of private practices. Her work reflects a long-standing dedication to clinical excellence, professional leadership, and expanding access to effective mental health care.
