Anna Morgan, MA, LPC Associate (LPC-A)
Anna Morgan, MA, LPC Associate, is a compassionate and dedicated counselor specializing in children, adolescents, and families. She is the founder of Open Door Counseling PLLC in Bridgeport, Texas, where she provides both in-person and virtual counseling services. Supervised by Dr. Bryan Moffitt, LPC-S, Anna has created a welcoming and supportive environment where clients can explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop practical coping skills. Her approach is warm, relational, and creative, integrating talking, play, art, and mindfulness as tools to foster growth and resilience.
Anna’s passion for mental health stems from her early experiences and personal connection to substance abuse within her family, which inspired her commitment to helping young people navigate life’s challenges. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Wayland Baptist University in 2023, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her academic foundation includes undergraduate studies in Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech University, where she developed expertise in family systems and child development, laying the groundwork for her focus on youth and family counseling.
Before establishing her own practice, Anna gained diverse clinical experience across multiple mental health settings. She served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional, worked at Family Counseling Services in Lubbock, and contracted with local elementary schools, providing early intervention for students facing behavioral and emotional challenges. These experiences highlighted gaps in accessible mental health services, motivating her to launch Open Door Counseling to meet the needs of underserved children, teens, and families.
Anna is known for her eclectic, person-centered approach, blending evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness to meet each client’s unique needs. She has a particular focus on children with learning differences, helping families and educators understand the root of behavioral challenges and supporting students in developing confidence, resilience, and practical coping skills. Her work also extends to student-athletes, guiding them through performance pressures and the emotional demands of balancing academics and sports.
Looking toward the future, Anna is committed to expanding access to mental health care through the development of a nonprofit counseling center and educational initiatives for teachers. She is also the author of Wired and Wondering, a book addressing the challenges of raising children in the digital age. Through her clinical expertise, community-focused vision, and deep empathy, Anna Morgan continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, adolescents, and families across Texas.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about my work are my clients. They often challenge me to grow and learn new approaches, whether it’s researching strategies to meet their unique needs or adapting my methods to fit different situations. Every client interaction is an opportunity for growth, and I feel deeply called to this work. My faith guides me, and I truly believe I was meant to help others in this way.
