Anna Kelly, MSW, LCSW, LCADC
Anna Kelly, MSW, LCSW, LCADC, of Therapy Today LLC, is a licensed mental health clinician with extensive experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and co-occurring disorders treatment. She began her clinical career in 2017 while completing her Master of Social Work degree at Rutgers University, choosing to focus on direct clinical practice rather than policy work due to her strong passion for hands-on patient care. She started her experience working in hospital-based crisis stabilization units serving dual diagnosis patients in inpatient settings, where she developed strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and stabilization-focused care for individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance use challenges.
Throughout her career, Anna expanded her clinical expertise across multiple levels of care, including internships in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, where she developed a deeper professional interest in addiction treatment due to the strong correlation between substance use and mental health disorders. She is highly trained in evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed therapy approaches. She has also completed EMDR training and is currently working toward certification as both an EMDR practitioner and consultant. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, has become an increasingly recognized treatment for trauma-related disorders, and Anna is committed to continuing her specialization in trauma-focused care.
Currently, Anna works per diem at Summit Oaks Hospital in a supervisory role where she mentors and supports clinical interns while continuing to provide direct patient care. She also maintains a private practice and is affiliated with a group practice, allowing her to serve a diverse client population across multiple treatment settings. Looking ahead, Anna is passionate about expanding access to affordable mental health care by opening a community-centered clinical wellness facility that offers group therapy, emotional support services, substance use treatment, and trauma-informed care. She is especially committed to developing scholarship-based and community partnership programs to help make quality mental health services accessible to individuals regardless of financial barriers, with a long-term vision of creating inclusive, patient-centered healing environments.
