Anna Eckert, RN, LPN

Anna Eckert, RN, LPN, is a dedicated dementia care advocate and Director of Nursing at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley, West Virginia. With extensive experience in geriatric and memory care, Anna has successfully managed a newly opened memory care unit deficiency-free for two years. Known in her community as the “dementia whisperer,” she emphasizes behavior management techniques before medications, empowering both patients and staff to create a supportive and compassionate care environment.

Throughout her career, Anna has held a variety of leadership roles, including Wellness Director at The Wyngate Senior Living Community and dementia care consultant positions across Kentucky and West Virginia. She has also served as a nurse consultant and inspector for the Office of Inspector General in Kentucky, bringing a keen eye for compliance and quality assurance to every role. Her professional approach balances clinical expertise with staff coaching, fostering teams capable of delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Anna’s educational foundation includes a Registered Nurse (RN) degree from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential from IV Technical School. She is certified in Alzheimer’s dementia care and as a CPR trainer. Beyond her professional work, Anna is committed to raising awareness for Alzheimer’s and dementia in the Appalachian region, providing education, resources, and advocacy to improve the lives of patients and their families.
