Angela Spicola, APRN
Angela Spicola, APRN, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women’s Health and Aesthetics, and recently opened her own practice, Livia Med Spa. She has been in the nursing field since 2006, beginning her career in labor and delivery and women’s triage, where she spent approximately 10 years developing a strong clinical foundation in reproductive and acute women’s healthcare. During this time, she built a deep commitment to patient-centered care and women’s wellness, which has remained central throughout her professional journey. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and maintains active involvement in professional organizations, including the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Med Spa Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Motivated to advance her clinical expertise, Angela made the decision around age 39–40 to return to school for her Nurse Practitioner degree. While working in a hospital setting that encouraged higher education, she recognized the opportunity to progress efficiently through a bridge program at South University, moving from her bachelor’s into a master’s degree pathway. After completing her graduate training, she transitioned into OB/GYN practice, where she worked for approximately six years, further strengthening her expertise in comprehensive women’s health. About a year and a half ago, she began exploring aesthetic medicine, initially practicing part-time in a salon suite while gaining hands-on experience and advanced training in cosmetic procedures.
At Livia Med Spa, Angela provides a full range of aesthetic and wellness services. Her offerings include injectables such as Botox and dermal fillers, PRP therapy, laser treatments, medical weight loss, IV therapy, and laser hair removal. She is also the only provider in her area utilizing the Helix CO₂ laser combined with 1570 technology, which allows for both non-ablative and fully ablative skin resurfacing with significantly reduced downtime while maintaining outstanding results. Committed to inclusivity and safety, she selects advanced technologies capable of treating all skin types, from very fair to deeply pigmented skin tones. Outside of her practice, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, valuing balance between her professional dedication and personal life.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I really enjoy now is that people like to come to me. In my previous work in labor and delivery and OBGYN, people had to come see me, but now with my med spa, I get to see smiles as they're leaving. It's a whole different experience. People are happy when they come to see me, and I love being able to make them feel good about themselves. It's so rewarding to provide services that help people look and feel their best in a positive, uplifting environment.
