Anette Bickett, RN
Anette Bickett, RN is an experienced registered nurse with a strong background in emergency, critical care, pediatric, and oncology nursing. She currently practices at Baptist Health and has previously contributed over 20 years of dedicated service at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where she specialized in emergency, PACU, and endoscopy care.
Anette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University and an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Bellarmine University. She has completed advanced education in emergency, critical pediatric, and oncology care, which has supported her extensive clinical expertise. Her certifications include BLS, ACLS, and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
With decades of hands-on experience, Anette is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and supporting families through critical health situations. Her dedication to nursing excellence continues to guide her practice at Baptist Health, where she brings both skill and heart to every patient interaction.

I developed educational in-services as well as planned annual competencies for nurses, techs and secretaries.
2007 to 2021:
Jewish Hospital and Saint Mary’s Healthcare Medical Center South. I am so excited to have been employed at Jewish Hospital Medical Center South as an Emergency Room Nurse. Not only have I maintained my previous credentials but also I have achieved a nationally recognized certification as a Board Certified Emergency Room Nurse as of January 2009, Board Certified Pediatric Nurse as of December 2009 and Trauma Nurse with the Emergency Nurses Association since 2009. I find myself surrounded by other well-experienced and highly supportive nursing and medical staff. I have a wealth of opportunity to share my previous nursing experiences through assisting other staff acquire their certifications in basic cardiac, advanced cardiac life support and first aid classes. I assist in relief charge nurse intermittently as well as precept new nurses and new hires in the emergency room. I teach the Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma class for JHSMH. I was awarded nurse of the year for JHSMH Medical Center South, the Nursing Excellence Award from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Nurse Recognition Committee in 2011 and awarded the Mary Rubenstein Weiner Baccalaureate Nursing Education Endowment 2006 to 2013. I received the Clinical Advancement Nurse Expert award at Jewish Hospital and St Mary’s Healthcare, a Part of Kentucky One Healthcare, in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 at Jewish and St Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center South.
2007 to 2008:
Jewish and St Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital, Registered Nurse am proud to say that I have worked at St Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room since January 2007 to October 2009. I have also been able to provide relief charge nursing duties to assist my department and manager with my previous work experiences. It has been a wonderful learning experience to work with a great medical and nursing team. The acuity of patients and the volume has also been a challenge that I am also very privileged to render care. I also participate on the Nursing Research Council where I am learning more about Evidenced based Patient Care and nursing research and I am able to contribute my experience and knowledge in the future of Nursing. I was the first to receive my Clinical Advancement Leader award at St Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital in 2009.
2006-2007:
Correct Care, Registered Nurse I was employed by Correct Care as a registered nurse in the Nursing Care Facility at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, Kentucky. I oversaw and coordinated the care of 55 to 62 inmates requiring nursing care. My daily duties were to make out staff assignments and report directly to the NCF Manager. I also coordinated the medical provider rounds with our patients on a daily basis. I took off orders and made sure that the pharmacy was notified with new orders for existing or new patients. I worked closely with outside medical facilities with transfers and admissions. I also coordinated with the security staff on the care of our patients and any needs to transport.
2003-2006:
Norton Healthcare Southwest, Registered Nurse September 20, 2004. I was trained and began working in the Emergency Room as a staff nurse at Norton Hospital southwest. In December, 2004, I was offered a Clinical Coordinator position in the ER. I trained and worked in this position until March 2006. I was a member of the Shared Governance Meetings and represented the ER on these committees. I had a number of responsibilities in this position. I was specially trained and represented the ER in Heiccs education and hospital management. I was responsible for staffing, discipline and a multitude of employee management responsibilities.
1986-2006:
Norton Health Care, Children’s Hospital, and Registered Nurse I began working as a registered nurse in the Hematology/ Oncology, Renal and Cardiovascular Unit at Kosair for one and a half years. It was my prior experience as a nursing assistant that led me to transfer to the pediatric emergency room and level one trauma center at Kosair. I stayed there for eleven years. I then transferred to the Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit became a level 3 nurse with the Clinical Ladder Program and worked in this post for six years.
1989-2004:
Children’s Minister, Louisville Trinity Church I have been involved in church ministry for almost twenty years. It wasn’t until 1998 that I held a staff position as Children’s Minister. I held the supervisory role of over a hundred church volunteer workers involving over one hundred children in this ministry. I planned, coordinated and staffed all the events at this church that involve children ages three years to eleven years old.
1991-1994:
Registered Nurse, Flaget Memorial Hospital I began working at Flaget Hospital to gain more adult experience as a registered nurse. I really enjoyed working as a nurse in this rural hospital setting. It wasn’t until I was offered a fulltime job in the pediatric Post Anesthesia Unit at Kosair, that I was forced to stop this PRN position.
