Amy Falke

Amy Falke is a dedicated Nurse Informaticist at CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri, bringing over two decades of experience in perioperative nursing, education, and clinical informatics. As part of the Epic CORAL team, she plays a key role in developing workflow efficiencies and supporting the health system’s transition to Epic. Certified in Epic OpTime and Anesthesia, Amy bridges her extensive clinical background with health information technology to optimize patient care, streamline surgical documentation, and enhance communication between clinical and IT teams.

Before transitioning to informatics, Amy held leadership roles across multiple health systems, including serving as a Perioperative Educator and Endoscopy and Urology Nurse Manager. She successfully led teams of more than 60 staff members, managing multi-department operations while implementing new technologies and improving departmental productivity. Her ability to balance clinical expertise with strategic management resulted in improved workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and morale among her teams. Amy’s experience spans diverse settings—from high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Centers to specialized procedural departments—demonstrating her commitment to advancing patient outcomes through innovation and teamwork.

Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management from Walden University, graduating Sigma Cum Laude, and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from North Central Missouri College. She continues to expand her expertise through professional certifications and active involvement in nursing and informatics education. Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crocheting, and exploring the outdoors—activities that reflect her balance of compassion, curiosity, and dedication both in and out of the workplace.
