Amber Walls, DNP, FNP-C

Amber Walls, DNP, FNP-C, is a highly accomplished family and primary care nurse practitioner with a strong focus on geriatric care, practicing with Texas Health Physicians Group in Dallas. Over a decade at the same clinic, she has developed expertise in chronic disease management and prevention, emphasizing quality of life, functional independence, and practical, hopeful care plans for patients and their families. Amber approaches her practice with a servant’s heart, striving to identify and remove barriers to healthy aging while delivering patient-centered, compassionate care.

Amber began her career as a registered nurse at Texas Health Resources, gaining experience across critical care, infectious disease, neurology, palliative care, urology, renal, and telemetry units. She completed a nursing research fellowship at Texas Christian University and transitioned to a nurse practitioner role in 2015. Throughout her career, Amber has held leadership positions, including membership on Nursing Congress, wound care and research councils, the Physician Leadership Group (as the first NP representative), and the Advanced Practice Provider Advisory Group. She has also contributed to consulting initiatives and AI-enabled clinical innovations to improve care delivery and operational efficiency.

Amber holds a BA in Biology with a chemistry minor and a BSN from Baylor University, a Master’s degree from Walden University, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Baylor University (completed ~2023). She is recognized for integrating evidence-based practice, remote patient monitoring, and AI-enabled solutions into primary care workflows. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of clinicians, Amber encourages lifelong learning and developing practical resources to support ongoing professional growth and high-quality patient care.
