Amber Cuevas, DNP, FNP is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner and Staff Registered Nurse at Allina Health, with over a decade of experience empowering patients across diverse populations. She began her nursing career with an Associate Degree in Nursing, advancing through her Bachelor’s and culminating in a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Family Nurse Practitioner from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Her extensive background in labor and delivery has instilled a strong commitment to individualized, family-centered care and laid the foundation for her holistic approach to primary and specialty care.
Throughout her clinical career, Amber has gained hands-on experience in high-acuity settings, managing complex conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, multiple gestations, and extreme preterm deliveries. She has also partnered with multidisciplinary teams to implement policy improvements and innovations in patient care. Her clinical rotations in primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, and women’s health have further strengthened her ability to manage acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan, blending bedside expertise with advanced nurse practitioner training.
Passionate about addressing health disparities and improving outcomes for underserved communities, Amber is committed to culturally competent care and patient advocacy. Her early experiences at Hennepin County Medical Center, a teaching hospital serving diverse and often marginalized populations, shaped her approach to equitable, inclusive care.
