Amber Boleyjack, RN, BSN
Amber Boleyjack, RN, BSN is the Director of Nursing for St. Louis Public Schools, where she oversees nursing services across 62 schools and leads a team of 65 nurses. With over a decade of nursing experience and three years in district leadership, she also serves as the district 504 coordinator, championing a comprehensive approach to student wellness that extends beyond traditional school health services. Her responsibilities include managing health and wellness programs for general education students, supervising 504 plans and homebound services, and implementing district-wide initiatives to reduce barriers to care. Under her leadership, school-based medical clinics have been established, providing vision, dental, and immunization services, supported by nurse practitioners addressing broader medical needs. Boleyjack’s work emphasizes the integration of healthcare into the daily life of schools. She has developed strategic partnerships, including collaboration with local pharmacies for medication delivery, and strengthened emergency preparedness through CPR certification programs and the addition of automated external defibrillators. She also partners with public health authorities to monitor health trends, support disease prevention, and provide families with clear guidance on school attendance and wellness. A graduate of Chamberlain University (BSN), Boleyjack has a diverse clinical background in dialysis, adult medicine, pediatrics, and public health. Her personal journey, growing up in a healthcare family and overcoming early health challenges, inspires her commitment to equitable and compassionate care. She is actively involved in professional and community organizations, including Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority and continues to pursue professional growth with a school nurse certification.
