Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I love most about being a speech-language pathologist is seeing children make meaningful progress in their communication skills. Whether it’s a child saying their first word, participating more confidently in the classroom, or connecting more easily with peers and family members, those moments are incredibly rewarding. Communication is foundational to learning, relationships, and self-advocacy, so being part of that growth is both impactful and deeply fulfilling.

I also value that our profession offers endless opportunities for professional development. There is always more to learn—new research, innovative therapy approaches, and evolving best practices. That continual growth allows me to refine my skills, stay current in the field, and provide the highest quality support to the children and families I serve.
