Allison Day
Allison Day is an experienced ultrasound technician who has been working in healthcare since 2012, with more than 14 years of experience in diagnostic sonography. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health Science from Kent State University before completing a highly specialized ultrasound program at UCLA, one of the most respected training programs in the field. During her education, Allison trained at UCLA Hospital alongside leading educators and clinicians, gaining advanced skills that laid the foundation for her career in medical imaging.
Although Allison is trained as a general ultrasound technologist capable of performing scans throughout the body, she has always been drawn to women’s health and has specialized in obstetrics and gynecology throughout much of her career. She previously worked with pediatric patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, an experience she greatly valued, before transitioning into specialized women’s healthcare within a private practice setting. In her current role, she sees approximately 22 patients each day, performing detailed diagnostic ultrasounds that help physicians better understand and treat a wide range of women’s health concerns.
Allison is passionate about advocating for women and creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. She particularly enjoys helping women navigate complex and often misunderstood stages of life, such as perimenopause, when symptoms can last for many years and are frequently overlooked. Known for her approachable and compassionate nature, Allison takes pride in helping patients gain clarity about their health while making them feel comfortable and supported throughout their care experience.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy best is comforting the women and being a girl's girl. I love the camaraderie of it and being there as an advocate for women. It's a cool modality, and I'm happy that it's what I decided to do. It's very visual, you train your eyes, and it's fascinating. I really love it. When I had my own kids, I did all my prenatal care myself, and I even scanned myself when I was sick with the flu during pregnancy. I scan myself a lot, and I scan my friends and family a lot too. I get to help people find the things that are going on with them and help them feel normal.
