Allison Crosby
Allison Crosby is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and founder of Sunny Pop Psychiatry
, with more than a decade of experience in the field of psychiatry and behavioral health. Allison is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and her dedication to creating meaningful therapeutic relationships. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Akron in 2013 and later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in 2022, becoming board certified as a PMHNP later that year. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Allison also brings several years of expertise in nursing education and leadership, further strengthening her ability to support patients with empathy, knowledge, and advocacy.
Throughout her career, Allison has worked across both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, caring for individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. She has experience supporting patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, schizophrenia, and mood disorders, and she works with adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. Allison has held roles with organizations including OhioHealth, Hope419, Cook Counseling and Consulting Inc., and Ohio Psychiatric Services. Known for her outgoing and approachable personality, she values collaboration, trust, and patient connection, believing that mental health treatment should move at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering for each individual. Allison also brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to her work as the child of Indian immigrants and as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, allowing her to provide inclusive and culturally aware care.

Outside of her professional life, Allison enjoys cooking, crafting, spending time with friends, indulging in being “chronically online,” and relaxing at home with her many pets.
