Allan Marinas, OT

Occupational Therapist
Hands Of Heartland LLC
Hoffman Estates, IL 68005

I am an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of providing compassionate, client-centered care across a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, sub-acute, and inpatient rehabilitation. I specialize in evaluating clients’ functional abilities, developing long-term treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that improve daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life. My expertise includes orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions, as well as assistive technology provision and splint fabrication.

My approach to therapy is guided by my faith in Jesus Christ, which has deepened my commitment to serving others with empathy and integrity. Over the past few years, I have realized the importance of prioritizing meaningful human connections over material pursuits. This perspective shapes the way I interact with patients, ensuring that they feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for.

Working primarily with the elderly population has been particularly rewarding. I greatly value their wisdom and life experiences and take joy in listening to their stories, validating their feelings, and fostering meaningful connections. I often extend appointment times beyond the scheduled period because I cherish the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and exploring new experiences. I play basketball and practice boxing to maintain physical fitness, and I love traveling to learn about different cultures and gain fresh perspectives. These personal interests help me stay energized and focused, allowing me to bring enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication to my professional practice every day.
