Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I love the adrenaline rush of emergency nursing. I'm the type of nurse who thrives when it's busy, and I feel like my critical thinking skills are really put to the test, especially with traumatic experiences, accidents, and emergency situations. I've worked in many different areas over my 16 years - labor and delivery, OR, ICU, med-surg, pediatrics - but I always come back to emergency nursing. There's something about working with traumas and emergency medicine that I'm really good at and passionate about. I like that challenge and the fast-paced environment where I can make a real difference for patients in critical moments.
