Alexis Lynch, LMHC, QS, ADHDCSP, ASDCS, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Tampa, Florida, who specializes in supporting neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan. With over six years of clinical experience and four years in private practice, Alexis has built a reputation for creating a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. Her work focuses on helping clients who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from their authentic selves—particularly those navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. She emphasizes that neurodivergence is a difference, not a deficit, and helps clients better understand and embrace how they uniquely experience the world.

Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience as a neurodivergent individual, Alexis brings a deeply empathetic and personalized approach to therapy. She integrates psychoeducation, emotional processing, and practical life and social skills to help clients move beyond masking behaviors and reconnect with their identity. Her work often centers on highly perceptive and emotionally attuned individuals who may struggle to express themselves or feel misunderstood. By tailoring each session to the individual, Alexis empowers clients to lead their own growth while providing the guidance and tools needed to build confidence, resilience, and meaningful relationships.

In addition to her clinical practice, Alexis incorporates creativity and holistic elements into her work, reflecting her background as a cosmetologist, artist, and small business owner. She co-owns a plant store where she introduces concepts like garden meditation and sensory-based self-care, blending therapeutic techniques with real-world experiences. Passionate about making mental health care accessible and affirming, Alexis works with individuals, couples, and groups, offering both in-person and virtual sessions. Her mission is to create a space where clients feel fully accepted and supported as they learn to live authentically and confidently.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is seeing people light up when I show them a part of their world they didn't know existed. I love the education part of it, doing a lot of psychoeducation and then applying their real-life situations to that. It's so rewarding when I can clock that someone has neurodivergence that's never been discovered, and I give them a rundown of what that timeline looks like, and sometimes they just start crying because they fit into it so well and they feel understood for the first time in their lives. I love when I get those calls that they're feeling good, or when we have to discharge them because they've graduated. Like the other day, I had a girl who spent 2 years trying to get her dream job, and I helped her with resumes and career counseling, and she got it making six figures when before she thought that was never going to be in her life. Every time I see or hear a good story, or see somebody light up, it just makes me happy. It's about helping them not feel like they're alone and showing them there's a whole neurodivergent community out there.
