Alexandra Wolfingbarger, DVM
Dr. Alexandra Wolfingbarger, DVM, is a compassionate veterinarian based in Columbus, Ohio, currently providing in-home euthanasia services with Coda Pet. Now entering her second year with the organization as it expands services into Ohio, Dr. Wolf is dedicated to helping pets pass peacefully in the comfort of their own homes. Her work centers on creating calm, respectful experiences that allow animals to remain relaxed in familiar surroundings while supporting families through emotionally significant moments.
Dr. Wolf’s professional philosophy is grounded in empathy, advocacy, and thoughtful decision-making at the end of life. She believes euthanasia should be performed for meaningful reasons and only after a pet has lived a full and well-loved life. A strong advocate for shelter animals, she approaches each case with care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional presence for both pets and their families. This commitment reflects her broader belief that end-of-life care is an extension of a veterinarian’s responsibility to honor the human-animal bond.
Her career in veterinary medicine began at age 16 as a veterinary assistant and has spanned a wide range of clinical roles, including general practice and shelter medicine. As a shelter veterinarian, Dr. Wolf served as a lead veterinarian overseeing large animal populations and performing high-volume surgeries, experiences that shaped both her clinical expertise and resilience. She earned her veterinary degree from St. George’s University and completed her clinical year at The Ohio State University. Ultimately, she transitioned to in-home euthanasia to provide more meaningful end-of-life care and to align her work with a sustainable, compassionate model of practice.
