Dr. Aerial A. Avery, DPM is a highly experienced podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon with more than two decades of clinical experience dedicated to improving mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing patients’ quality of life. Originally from Lawton/Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Dr. Avery earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Baylor University before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2006. He pursued advanced surgical training through a rigorous residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, affiliated with Yale University, where he served as Chief Resident and presented research on multiple clinical topics.

Dr. Avery began his professional career on the East Coast, spending more than 12 years in private practice across Virginia, New York, and Connecticut, including his work with New Age Foot and Ankle Surgery in Richmond, Virginia. Nearly three years ago, he joined Chickasaw Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma, initially on a short-term assignment that evolved into a permanent role due to the collaborative and rewarding hospital environment. In addition to providing comprehensive foot and ankle care, he serves as a preceptor, mentoring medical students, nursing students, and Navy corpsmen while collaborating with medical device representatives to advance clinical education and patient care practices.

Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Avery is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and holds multiple distinguished professional fellowships, including Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (FACPPS), Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine (FACPM), and membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCPSG). His professional excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including America’s Top Podiatrist awards in 2012 and 2014 and the Locum Tenens Provider of the Year award in 2022. He has also contributed to the medical field through published research on foot neuromas.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Avery is deeply committed to mentorship and community service. As a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, he actively mentors youth and has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club in New York City. A lifelong advocate for healthy living, he enjoys working out, listening to music, and playing billiards. Guided by a passion for helping others, Dr. Avery remains committed to delivering the most current, evidence-based treatments while continuing to advance excellence in podiatric medicine and patient-centered care.
