Dr. Aerial A. Avery is a highly experienced podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon with over 16 years in clinical practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Texas before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2006. Dr. Avery then completed a rigorous surgical residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, affiliated with Yale University, where he served as chief resident in his third year and presented research on multiple clinical topics.

Dr. Avery began his career on the East Coast, spending roughly 12 years in private practice across Virginia, New York, and Connecticut. Nearly three years ago, he transitioned to the Chickasaw Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma, initially on a short-term trial but ultimately choosing to stay permanently due to the rewarding hospital environment. At Chickasaw, he serves as a preceptor, mentoring medical students, nursing students, and Navy corpsmen, and collaborates with medical device representatives to provide ongoing clinical education.

Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Avery is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (FACPPS), and a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has published research on foot neuromas and was recognized in 2022 as Locum Tenens Provider of the Year. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Avery is dedicated to community service, mentoring youth through Phi Beta Sigma and volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club in New York.
