Abhijit Raval, MD, FCCP, DAABIP is the Director of Interventional Pulmonary and Pulmonary Vascular Disease at AnMed Health, serving the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson region of South Carolina. With extensive expertise in interventional pulmonology and pulmonary vascular medicine, Dr. Raval is dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative procedures, early diagnosis, and cutting-edge technologies. He is recognized for his commitment to improving outcomes for patients with complex pulmonary conditions, including lung nodules, thoracic oncology, and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Raval has played a pivotal role in the development and success of AnMed Health’s Lung Nodule and Thoracic Oncology Program, achieving a significant milestone of 500 robotic navigation procedures. His approach combines clinical excellence with compassionate patient care, emphasizing teamwork across multidisciplinary departments, including respiratory therapy, bronchoscopy, pathology, radiology, and surgical services. Through these efforts, he aims to shift the stage at which lung cancers are diagnosed, improving prognosis and quality of life for his patients.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Raval is deeply committed to education and mentorship. He actively teaches medical students, fellows, and colleagues, sharing his knowledge and fostering professional development in the fields of pulmonary and critical care medicine. He is also involved in professional organizations such as the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Thyroid Association (ATA), and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), reflecting his dedication to both patient care and the advancement of medical science.

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through compassionate, high-quality care. I also take great satisfaction in teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians as an Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina, where I can share knowledge, inspire curiosity, and foster professional growth.
