Brianne Carroll, PT, DPT, OCS, NCS
Dr. Brianne Carroll, PT, DPT, NCS, OCS, is a board-certified physical therapist specializing in both orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation, with a strong commitment to helping patients return to active, healthy lifestyles. She has been practicing since 2015 and currently serves as a Level II Senior Physical Therapist at NYU Langone Orthopedic Center in Manhattan, the highest clinical level for full-time treating therapists within the organization. In her role, she provides one-on-one outpatient care for orthopedic and post-operative patients, developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, exercise prescription, injury prevention strategies, and patient education. She also serves as a chart auditor for Medicare documentation compliance and contributes to staff development through education, data analysis, and training initiatives. Dr. Carroll earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hunter College and holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Manhattan University, where she competed as a Division I swimmer.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Carroll has worked across a range of clinical settings including acute care, cardiac rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy, gaining extensive experience treating orthopedic, neurologic, pulmonary, and pelvic floor conditions. She holds advanced certifications in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, Functional Movement Screen, and LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s disease, and her clinical interests include concussion rehabilitation, running-related injuries, and sports performance. She is also a member of the NYU Run Lab team, where she contributes to running analysis through advanced video and movement assessment to support injury prevention and performance optimization.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Carroll is actively involved in professional education, research, and community outreach. She has presented at national and international conferences, including the World Congress on Physiotherapy, Physical Rehabilitation, and Sports Medicine and the APTA Combined Sections Meeting, and regularly delivers community lectures on running biomechanics, marathon preparation, and injury prevention. She is also deeply committed to adaptive sports and volunteered for several seasons with the Adaptive Sports Foundation, where she taught skiing and snowboarding to individuals with disabilities and helped train volunteer instructors. Through her clinical practice, teaching, and service, she remains dedicated to advancing the field of physical therapy and empowering patients of all abilities to move with confidence and independence.
