Catherine Schnorr, RN
Catherine Schnorr, RN, is a highly experienced nursing professional with over 15 years of expertise in perioperative and post-anesthesia care. She currently serves as a Post Anesthesia Care Nurse at Baylor Scott & White Centennial, providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing GI, Cath Lab, IR, and complex surgical procedures. Catherine has extensive experience circulating in diverse surgical specialties, including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, urology, robotics, ENT, cardiovascular, colorectal, thoracic, hybrid, and plastic surgeries, and has served as Charge Nurse managing multiple operating rooms to ensure patient safety and efficient clinical operations.
In addition to her clinical work, Catherine is deeply committed to nursing education and professional development. As a Clinical Preceptor and Apprentice Clinical Educator at Baylor Scott & White Centennial, she mentors new hires, graduate nurses, and nursing students, contributing to programs such as the 101 Perioperative Program and CST Boot Camp. She develops and delivers training on infection prevention, OR safety, and procedural updates, reaching over 100 staff annually. Catherine also serves as faculty at Gallen College of Nursing and Westcoast University, teaching and guiding the next generation of nursing professionals.
Catherine holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Purdue Global (2025) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (2007). She attributes her success to professional development, patient advocacy, personal responsibility, effective communication, and teamwork, and enjoys a balanced life outside of work with activities such as outdoor recreation, waterparks, skiing, yoga, meditation, and reading. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and patient-centered care, Catherine continues to make a meaningful impact on her colleagues, students, and patients alike.
