Bernard Chevalier, LMSW
Bernard Chevalier is an experienced chaplain and spiritual counselor, currently serving Beacon Hospice in Canton, Michigan. With over 16 years of leadership in ministry and social work, he brings a compassionate and holistic approach to spiritual care, supporting individuals and families at critical moments in their lives. His extensive background in both clinical and community settings allows him to meet people at their point of need with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on overall well-being.
Bernard holds a Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University. He has also completed Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) studies at the University of Michigan Medical Center. His educational and professional experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of mental health, hospice care, and community outreach, enabling him to integrate spiritual guidance with practical support effectively.
Throughout his career, Bernard has served in diverse roles, including case manager at Detroit East Community Mental Health Center, coordinator for the P.A.T.H. program assisting individuals experiencing homelessness, and driver for Forgotten Harvest, supporting food-insecure communities. His dedication to social service, coupled with his expertise in spiritual counseling, underscores his commitment to helping others achieve holistic healing and spiritual growth.
